Great Aussie Results at Radial Worlds in New Zealand
Aussie sailors have taken some of the top places at the Laser Radial World Championships held during March in New Zealand with Gabrielle King being crowned the World Champion in the Women’s Youth event.
Young Ashley Stoddart had a fantastic regatta finishing 10th overall in the Women’s Youth World Championship and was crowned the Under 17 World Champion – not a bad result for a 14 year old!
Beijing bound Olympian Sarah Blanck placed 5th in the Women’s World Championship, missing 4th on a countback.
Simon Morgan took out the Bronze in the Laser Radial Men’s World Championship with James Burman finishing 5th overall and taking the Silver medal in the Under 21 division.
Tom Burton placed 4th in the Men’s Youth World Championship, only 5 point off the silver medal.
