Click on the championship above for specific qualification and entry criteria which will be posted as they become available.
The ALCA will, as a default position, use the preceeding Australian Championship results as the basis of ranking sailors for any ILCA event which has restricted entry, other than Masters. Click here forthe Masters selection policy adopted by the ILCA on 14 October 2009.
Rankings will be allocated consecutively from the order of finishing positions starting at first place for all the Laser rigs (ie. Standard, Radial & 4.7) and all the Laser categories (ie. Youth, Women, etc), other than Masters.
On certain occasions alternative rankings may be used such as the ISAF World Championship when Yachting Australia selects the sailors for this event. A separate Selection Policy would be published to cover these situations.
Sailors please regularly check the ALCA website for any published Ranking Policies which may relate to the event you are interested in.
Please be aware that events can become “restricted entry” at a very late stage (as was the case in the 2007/08 season).
