ALCA AGM Minutes and Reports

The Minutes of the Australian Laser Class Association held at the Adelaide Sailing Club co-incident with the National Championship are HERE.

The meeting went for 90 minutes and is the only formal meeting of the ALCA in the year so there was a lot covered.

Normally we all avoid meetings like the plague and reading meeting minutes is usually one step worse. In this case if you scan the document and the attached reports you will get some idea of the activities of the class locally and internationally. You can see the different approaches and initiatives undertaken in the Districts and initiatives and results in Youth and Masters sailing covering our 8 to 80 years of age membership.

For the mearly curious but time challenged I have posted ALCA Chairman Ken Hurling’s Report separately HERE. Among other issues Ken talks about the new ILCA Oceania region and the prospect of a World Sailing ranking points regatta in our new region. Also Ken refers to the ALCA Vic Laser District bid to hold the 2020 World Open and Masters Championship events in Melbourne & Geelong.
